Appointment Policies

Please review policies before your scheduled appointment

  • If it is necessary to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide a minimum of 48 hour notice to avoid being charged 50% of the service price. No shows will be charged full service price. Thank you for respecting the skin therapist's time.

  • Payment is due at the time of your treatment or consultation appointment. 

  • ASCT does not accept insurance.  ASCT is not a medical facility and Cara Aylin Twentey is not a medical practitioner but is a trained and licensed esthetician with a specialty in treating acneic skin. 

  • PLEASE BE ON TIME.  Arriving late may limit the time of the treatment. As a courtesy, please contact the skin therapist if you are running late.

  • Please reschedule your appt if you are SICK (sore throat, fever, nausea, runny nose, cough) or someone in your household has a contagious illness such as the flu or stomach bug. You will not be penalized for short notice cancellations due to illness unless it occurs on a frequent basis.

  • If you are not satisfied with a skin care product, your skin therapist will be happy to exchange it within 7 days of purchase. If product has not been opened exchanges can be made up to 6 weeks after purchase.   Makeup cannot be exchanged or returned once opened.

  • CELL PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING CONSULTATION OR TREATMENT TIME. Unless you are a guest of the client, please silence your cell phones when entering the treatment room.

  • Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for product orders to be mailed or picked up at ASCT.  It is the client's responsibility to order products before they run out.

  • Due to liability issues, children under the age of 7 are not permitted in the treatment room or the reception area unless accompanied by an adult other than the client. If your child is 7 or older but cannot remain quiet during treatment/consultation time please find appropriate child care.

  • Please disclose any medical conditions and/or prescribed medications, pregnancies, sun exposure, diet changes, etc. before every treatment as there may be contraindications. 

  • Facial treatments will not be performed on anyone exhibiting signs of cold sores, cold/flu symptoms, sties, conjunctivitis or staph infection. Please reschedule your appointment at least 10 days from the first symptoms.

  • Clients are advised to avoid tanning beds and will not receive exfoliating treatments if their skin displays signs of sun or windburn.

  • Please do not wax 3-4 days prior to or after a facial appointment.

  • Clients must discontinue using products containing prescription strength Retin A, retinoids, etc. for at least 2 weeks before a professional treatment.  Accutane users must wait 5-6 months before having a chemical exfoliation or using actives at home.

  • Clients receiving Botox and fillers must wait 10 days post injections for facial services.

  • Cosmetic surgery and laser clients please wait 7 weeks post op for facial services.

  • Reactions are rare but can happen depending on the client's sensitivity, new or adjusted medications, change in diet, contact with cleaning products, etc. A cold compress, topical hydrocortisone cream and Benadryl can help relieve irritation. If symptoms persist, please consult your physician.

  • Please schedule facial treatments a minimum of 2 weeks prior to traveling to warm, tropical climates.  Certain facial treatments will increase your chances of sunburn. 

  • ASCT has a 90% success rate for clients who are 100% committed to the program.  However, we cannot guarantee results. There is no cure for acne but ASCT offers a program that helps effectively manage acne.  

  • For your convenience, Aylin Skin Care accepts cash and most credit cards.

  • ASCT does not accept insurance.

  • Prices and service offerings are subject to change without notice.
